I am excited to share with you a truly inspiring experience I recently had as a Vocational Training (FP) disseminator.
I had the privilege of accompanying an exceptional group of students and teachers from the Institut Escola del Treball de Barcelona on an educational visit to the ABB facilities in Sant Quirze, Barcelona. This experience was not only educational, but was also a testament to the power of collaboration between industry and education to drive the future of automation.
As part of the visit, students from the Higher Vocational Training Courses in Electrotechnical and Automated Systems, as well as Industrial Automation and Robotics, had the unique opportunity to immerse themselves in the world of ABB, a leading multinational in the automation and energy sector. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and enthusiasm, marking the beginning of a day full of learning and discovery.
During our visit, we explored first-hand the innovative technologies that are transforming the industry worldwide. From intelligent control systems to advanced robotics solutions, every step we took brought us a little closer to the future of industrial automation. It was an incredible opportunity for our students to not only see theory in action, but also to understand how their knowledge is applied in a real business environment.
What impressed me most during our visit was ABB’s commitment to education and professional development. They gave us a detailed insight into their internal training programs, as well as the career opportunities available to those who want to excel in this exciting and ever-evolving field. It was a powerful reminder of the value of ongoing training and hands-on learning in today’s world of work.
For our students, this experience was much more than just an educational visit. It was a chance to be inspired, to dream big, and to visualize the role they will play in the future of automation. Seeing their faces light up with curiosity and excitement as they interacted with ABB’s cutting-edge technologies was truly rewarding and reaffirmed my belief in the transformative power of education.
In summary, our visit to ABB in Sant Quirze was a testament to the unlimited potential that emerges when education and industry come together in collaboration.
I sincerely thank ABB for opening its doors to us and inspiring us all to strive for the best in our professional careers. I look forward to future collaboration opportunities that continue to enrich the educational experiences of our VET students.
The future of automation is in good hands!
