For two intense days, I had the privilege of participating as an expert guest and communicator at the Skills’2025 championship in the Region of Murcia — an unforgettable experience that allowed me to witness firsthand the talent, commitment, and passion with which Vocational Education and Training (VET) students approach their learning and professional development.
I visited all the training centers where the qualifying tests were held, true spaces of educational excellence filled with emotion, camaraderie, and personal growth. I had the opportunity to speak with students, teachers, juries, and school leaders, and I witnessed a VET system that is vibrant, modern, and fully aligned with today’s and tomorrow’s challenges.
What I experienced went far beyond a competition: it was a powerful demonstration of the value of VET as a solid pathway to employment and personal success. Each participating student showed that VET stands for professionalism, effort, and high-level technical preparation.
The experience concluded with the Awards Gala, a moving and well-deserved celebration presided over by Víctor Javier Marín Navarro, Regional Minister of Education and Vocational Training, in the presence of school principals, teaching staff, and families, all honoring the students’ achievements.
I want to publicly thank the organizers for the invitation to be part of such a meaningful event that places the Region of Murcia at the forefront of promoting and highlighting Vocational Education and Training. Initiatives like this are key to recognizing and supporting the educational paths of thousands of young people who choose VET as their way forward.
