Spain as a Benchmark in Dual VET: Erasmus+ Training Day with Greek Teachers in Barcelona

Vocational Education and Training (VET) is becoming increasingly international, and I had the privilege to actively contribute to this progress. I was recently invited to deliver a talk in Barcelona as part of an Erasmus+ project, engaging with 50 VET teachers from Greece, eager to learn about the Spanish Dual VET model.

During this enriching session, we delved into the structure of the new VET system in Spain, with a strong focus on in-company internships and the transformations brought by the new VET Organic Law 3/2022.

A key highlight of the day was the contribution of the CaixaBank Dualiza VET Observatory, whose updated and reliable data helped to clarify many of the participants’ doubts and contextualized the reforms currently shaping VET in Spain.

These international exchanges not only strengthen collaboration among education professionals, but also position Spain as a leading country in developing innovative, labour-oriented training models.

I’m grateful for the opportunity to contribute and will continue working toward a more connected, future-ready VET system.
