Visiting the Hernani CIFP Social Innovation center in Gipuzkoa was a profoundly inspiring and enriching experience, further demonstrating the remarkable level that Vocational Training is reaching in the Basque Country.
I had the opportunity to witness firsthand the excellent work they do, thanks to the warm welcome and professionalism of Ainitze Blanco, David Larrarte, Aritz Olaziregi, Unai Azkue, Aritz Zabaleta, and Esteban Arrillaga.
During the visit, I saw how this integrated public Vocational Training center has become a true ecosystem of innovation, entrepreneurship, and connection with local businesses. It offers modern, dynamic vocational training that is fully aligned with the real needs of the productive sector.
At CIFP Innovación Social in Hernani, they not only train students in basic, intermediate, and advanced vocational training programs, but also develop training for workers and the unemployed, promoting the continuous updating of professional skills.
Particularly noteworthy is their commitment to participatory methodologies, innovative technologies, and high-impact projects like Euskelek and TKgune, which demonstrate that today’s Vocational Training goes far beyond the traditional classroom.
