For a Country That Does Not Abandon: My Commitment to the Zero School Dropout Week in Catalonia

Early school dropout is not an individual problem, but a collective challenge. In Catalonia, more than 23,000 young people have left their studies before completing post-compulsory education — a figure that calls for reflection and action.

For years, I have been working to promote and dignify Vocational Education and Training (VET), create pathways of opportunity, and make young talent visible for those who choose professional and technical careers. That’s why joining the Zero School Dropout Week as a public advocate is a natural continuation of this commitment.

From October 20th to 27th, Catalonia will host activities, workshops, talks, and shared experiences — all under one goal: to build a network that supports, guides, and accompanies young people so that no one is left behind.

Over 60 organizations, educational centers, municipalities, and institutions will lead more than 100 initiatives across the region, from Cambrils to Olot, Oliana to L’Hospitalet, and through Manresa.

I take part because I strongly believe that the solution lies in connecting efforts, in listening and guiding better, and in helping young people feel that their future has a path, meaning, and support.

👉 If you also believe in a country that does not abandon, join us, share, and help strengthen this network of hope and commitment.
