Finder expands its portfolio of automation and energy efficiency solutions with the launch of the new 18.71 and 18.81 motion and presence detectors, which join the updated 18 Series. These devices have been designed to offer a reliable, flexible, and easy-to-install solution for both indoor and outdoor environments.
The new generation of detectors in the 18 Series stands out for its modern, minimalist, and discreet design, available in two finishes—white and anthracite gray—allowing for seamless integration into any environment without compromising the aesthetics of the space.
Specific solutions for every environment
The 18.71 model is designed for indoor installations. This is a wall-mounted, adjustable PIR motion detector that incorporates an automatic shut-off delay with a self-learning intelligent timing function. This system allows the device to gradually adapt to usage patterns, optimizing lighting activation and deactivation to improve comfort and reduce energy consumption. It also features a potentiometer for adjusting the light threshold (lux) and a simplified connection system with three terminals: live, neutral, and load.
The 18.81 model, on the other hand, is designed for outdoor installations and has an IP55 protection rating, guaranteeing its water resistance and operation in demanding environmental conditions. This adjustable detector includes a 10 A potential-free contact, an input for an external push button, and adjustment of both the lux threshold and the shut-off delay (from 18 seconds to 15 minutes) via two potentiometers. Its five-terminal configuration simplifies the connection of live, neutral, contact, and push button, providing a complete and versatile solution for both indoor and outdoor applications.
Easy Installation and High Performance
Both models operate on a 230 V AC (50/60 Hz) power supply and feature a 10 A normally open (NO) contact, offering a wide detection area thanks to their adjustable head. The redesigned 18 Series prioritizes ease of installation, reducing assembly time and minimizing potential wiring errors.
Intelligent Technology for Efficiency
One of the key innovations of these new detectors is their integrated automatic timing adjustment algorithm. This advanced system not only detects movement but also learns from presence patterns in the environment, dynamically adapting the shutdown delay to maximize energy savings without requiring initial configuration.
