Between April 9 and 13, I had the privilege of attending the exciting #SpainSkills2024 competition in Madrid, an event that brings together the most promising young talents in Vocational Training (VET) from all over Spain. These students, winners of the previous phases in the 17 autonomous communities, demonstrated exceptional skills, competing for the opportunity to represent Spain at European and global levels.
The competition was an impressive showcase of the level and dedication of these young people, who are the future of various technical and professional industries. Observing their competence and professionalism confirmed that investment in VET is one of the most important bets we can make for the future of our country.
At this event, I also had the opportunity to share experiences with two great companies, BAXI and Schneider Electric, who have joined me in the task of disseminating and supporting the training and development of future professionals. Their commitment to VET and the development of new talent is essential, not only to ensure a quality generational transition but also to guarantee the competitiveness and sustainability of our industries.
The participation of BAXI and Schneider Electric in #SpainSkills2024 is a clear example of how companies can and should play a crucial role in supporting vocational education and training. Investing in the youth workforce, as they do, not only raises the standard of training but also ensures a future full of highly qualified and motivated professionals.
I am deeply grateful to have been part of this event and to have the opportunity to observe first-hand the potential and passion of these young talents. The skills, innovation and enthusiasm I saw at SpainSkills 2024 fill me with hope and positive expectations for the future of VET in Spain.
As we continue to foster and support these championships, we continue to sow the seeds for a future generation of professionals who will undoubtedly take our industries to new levels of success and sustainability.
