Building Dual Pathways: a year of encounters, learning and gratitude

Over the past year, I have had the opportunity to travel across many parts of Spain presenting Building Dual Pathways, a book born from experience, vocation and a strong commitment to Vocational Education and Training, especially Dual VET.

Each visit to a training centre, each meeting with associations, companies, foundations and sector-related organisations has been much more than a book presentation. They have been spaces for dialogue, listening and shared reflection on the present and future of education, the value of skilled trades, young talent and the need to continue dignifying Vocational Training as a modern, meaningful and opportunity-filled educational pathway.

This journey would not have made sense without the people. Committed teachers, courageous management teams, industry professionals, engaged companies and young people eager to learn and build their future have shaped each of these encounters. The warm welcome and genuine appreciation received in every place have undoubtedly been one of the greatest lessons of this journey.

The collage accompanying this post captures only a small part of everything experienced during these 365 intense days. It is a visual summary of shared moments, honest conversations and experiences that reinforce the idea that Vocational Education moves forward when it is built collectively.

Some of those who were part of the journey are here… but not all who were. 365 days hold many moments, and this path has been shared.

Thank you to all the people and organisations who have been part of Building Dual Pathways. We move forward, because there are still many paths left to build.
