Building Dual Paths in Seville: a day to believe in the future

There are presentations that go beyond an academic or literary event. They are moments that connect with people, with ideas, and with the purpose that gives meaning to everything we do.

On October 8th, I had the honour of presenting my book Construyendo Caminos Duales in a place full of history, values, and educational commitment: the Salesian School Santísima Trinidad of Seville. I was joined by a great friend and business leader, Paco Álvarez, Business Development Director at Niessen – ABB Group, with whom I shared a deeply motivational talk.

We talked about vocation, talent, and the future.
About how Dual Vocational Education and Training (VET) not only brings education closer to employment but also bridges two worlds that truly need each other: the classroom and the company. Because Dual VET is exactly that — a real bridge between learning and action, between theory and experience, between dreaming and building.

The event was participative, close, and inspiring.
You could see it in the students’ eyes, in their questions, in their genuine interest in understanding how every decision, every learning step, can open solid and meaningful professional paths.

I want to sincerely thank the Salesian community for their hospitality and their commitment to educational excellence, and Francisco Álvarez for his vision and for believing that collaboration between education and business is the key to building a more prepared, humane, and sustainable society.

📘 Construyendo Caminos Duales is more than a book. It’s an invitation to keep believing in what we build together, to keep the hope alive that Vocational Education and Training will increasingly become the natural path toward the future.
