👉 In the full article, I share in detail what I discovered in each department, the projects that surprised me, and why CIFPA is now a national benchmark.
Some places are not just visited—they are experienced. My recent time at CIFPA (the Innovation Center for Vocational Training in Aragon) was exactly that: an experience confirming that when vocational training is driven by vision, strategy, and commitment, it becomes a true catalyst for social and economic transformation.
CIFPA is a public center run by the Government of Aragon, but it would be unfair to describe it merely as “a center.” It is a living ecosystem of innovation, technology, experimentation, and continuous improvement—a space where vocational training is conceived, designed, and projected toward the future with admirable clarity.

I had the opportunity to tour all its departments, classrooms, and workshops, and every step reinforced the same idea: the work done here ensures that vocational training occupies the position of excellence it deserves in society.
A team that drives, supports, and transforms
My sincerest thanks to those who welcomed me so extraordinarily well:
Benjamín Luengo, Director of CIFPA
José Manuel Martínez, Technical Secretary
Juan Francisco Andreu, Department of Observation, Innovation, and Research
These three professionals do more than just manage a center—they lead a vision. Their commitment to technological and methodological innovation is palpable in every conversation, every project, and every corner of the building.
Applied innovation—not just in name
What struck me most about CIFPA is that innovation is not an abstract concept here. It is practical. It is part of daily life. It is useful. It takes shape through:
Laboratories equipped with cutting-edge technology
Professional simulation spaces
Classrooms where new methodologies are put to the test
Projects that connect vocational training centers, businesses, and the local region
Teams that analyze, observe, and anticipate trends
Vocational training in Aragon goes beyond simply training professionals; it develops agents of change capable of transforming processes, integrating technology, and boosting the competitiveness of organizations.
A shared purpose
My personal goal—to promote the values of vocational training across the board and contribute to its recognition in society—found a natural ally in the CIFPA. There, vocational training is embraced with pride, rigor, and ambition. There, vocational training represents the future.
Aragon is steering vocational training toward excellence—and I am fully committed to this endeavor.
Visiting the CIFPA served as a reminder that when institutions believe in vocational training, it delivers a real, tangible impact. This center stands as an inspiring example of how to build a robust, well-connected, and transformative system for educational innovation.
