Technology, sustainability, and industrial leadership for students in maintenance, electrical installations, and electromechanics
Today, Hernani Lanbide Heziketa once again demonstrated why Vocational Training (FP) is one of the strongest pillars for our country’s industrial and energy future. I had the privilege of delivering another presentation at the center—this time in collaboration with Schneider Electric, a global company that stands out for something I consider essential: its genuine proximity to students and its commitment to young talent.

The event brought together students from intermediate and higher-level vocational programs in the fields of maintenance, electrical installations, and electromechanics. They participated with infectious energy and an admirable technical curiosity. Together, we explored a clear vision of the sector’s present and future:
how electrification is transforming the industry,
why energy efficiency has become an indispensable skill,
and how digitalization is creating professional opportunities that, just a few years ago, would have seemed out of reach.
Schneider Electric brought a global, practical, and accessible perspective. We didn’t just talk about technology; we talked about people—about how a world-leading company can be so closely aligned with vocational training, educational institutions, and the young people who are taking their first professional steps.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the center’s director, the academic coordinator, and the teaching staff, whose dedication and warmth made the day truly impactful. Their commitment to placing students at the heart of every initiative serves as a model for how 21st-century vocational training should be built: collaborative, connected to the corporate world, and future-oriented.
My message to the students was straightforward: The world needs your talent. The energy transition, automation, intelligent energy management, and the digital industry all require well-prepared professionals—people with vision and the right attitude. You are in the right place, at the right time.
Hernani Vocational Training, Schneider Electric, and the vocational education sector form a perfect triangle: training, technology, and the future. Today, more than ever, vocational education is taking the floor—and, with it, the future.
