Today in Barcelona: Training for Trainers on the New Organic Law 3/2022

Today I had the opportunity to deliver a Training for Trainers session in Barcelona, focused on the challenges and opportunities brought by the New Organic Law 3/2022 on the Organization and Integration of Vocational Education and Training.

As a vocational education consultant and advocate, my aim in these sessions is to provide a clear and practical vision of this historic reform, which represents a profound change in how we understand vocational education in Spain, bringing us closer to European standards.

In collaboration with Moveu from Spain to Europe, we explored the key pillars of this law:

  • A more integrated and flexible VET system, connecting pathways and allowing each person to build their own educational journey.
  • Dual VET as a central element, fostering closer and more meaningful collaboration between companies and educational institutions.
  • Recognition of competences and lifelong learning, aligning our system with the European qualifications framework.

The New Law 3/2022 is not just about regulations; it is an opportunity for transformation. It challenges us to rethink how we train our youth and how we help professionals reinvent themselves in a changing, global labor market.

I leave this session with a very positive feeling: trainers motivated and eager to understand the new legal framework and adapt to the changes, delivering training that is modern and connected to the real needs of companies and society.
