New study from Schneider Electric

Electric and digital buildings can reduce emissions by up to 70%, says Schneider Electric

Schneider Electric’s decarbonisation research and studies offer practical solutions to help organisations navigate the complexities of the energy transition.

According to a new study from Schneider Electric, the implementation of Schneider Electric’s digital energy and building management solutions in existing office buildings could reduce carbon emissions from their operations by up to 42%, with a payback period of less than three years. The study adds that, by installing a microgrid with local renewable energy sources, as well as replacing fossil fuel-fired heating technologies with electric alternatives, fully electric and digital buildings will reduce carbon emissions from their operations by another 28%, for a total reduction of up to 70%.
