Finder Toolbox App Adds New Feature: Energy Consumption Reading Logging for Even More Efficient Energy Management
It is now possible to download the history of energy consumption readings made with the App via NFC in a CSV file, allowing data to be analysed at a later date
In recent years, energy management has become a priority to achieve efficiency and cost savings. The new generation of Finder energy meters has evolved to incorporate innovative and intelligent technologies, such as the Near Field Communication (NFC) protocol.
The MID-certified Finder 7M series represents a major step forward. These energy meters, combined with the Finder Toolbox App, provide an advanced user experience and introduce a significant improvement in energy consumption monitoring.
NEW IN FINDER TOOLBOX APP
Finder has added an energy consumption logging section to the Finder Toolbox App. It is now possible to download the history of energy consumption readings in a CSV file, allowing the data to be analysed at a later date. This represents a major step towards even more efficient energy management.
NFC technology is at the heart of this innovation. Here are some of its main advantages:
METER READING IN THE EVENT OF A MAINS FAILURE: One of the features of NFC is the ability to read the 7M Series meters even in the absence of the mains.
DATA RETENTION: In the unlikely event of a meter malfunction, the Toolbox app and NFC allow the last recorded energy measurement to be retrieved, avoiding the loss of consumption data.
MONITORING AND PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE: Using NFC technology, it is also possible to monitor the operating time of the devices connected behind the meter. This allows preventive maintenance to be carried out, optimising the use of resources.
CUSTOMIZATION AND CONTROL: NFC technology allows the customization of meter settings through the Finder Toolbox app. It is also possible to customize the display to show relevant data or change meter settings.
REDUCE WORKING TIME: Meter programming, configuration storage and instant data sharing with installers can dramatically reduce working and maintenance time, allowing for fast and accurate control of the installation.
FINDER 7M SERIES ENERGY METERS
The 7M series energy meters are distinguished by their innovative design and a backlit LCD display, programmable via NFC with the dedicated Finder Toolbox application.
The series consists of five models of bidirectional single-phase energy meters with LCD display Type 7M.24-0001/0010/0210/0310. These models are ideal for monitoring consumption in domestic and industrial environments, offices, photovoltaic systems and campsites. They stand out for their power and control terminals with integrated anti-theft seal, as well as their touch button for navigation and programming. They are MID-certified energy meters with Modbus and M-Bus communications (depending on the model).
In addition, there are three models of multifunctional and bidirectional energy meters with backlit Matrix LCD display Type 7M.38-0112/0212/0312. These models, MID-certified up to 80 A and 70°C, are ideal for 3-phase or 4-wire systems and single-phase systems. They are also equipped with ModBus and M-Bus communications protocol (depending on the model).
WHAT IS NFC TECHNOLOGY?
NFC (Near Field Communication) is a short-range communication technology that allows bidirectional data transmission between two devices without contact, therefore without the need for cables. Developed in 1983, today it finds application in multiple data transfer devices, such as PCs, smartphones, cameras, electronic ticketing systems, counterfeiting systems, etc.
The transfer of data between one device and another occurs, specifically, through a peer-to-peer network between the two, which allows information to be sent and/or received.
This type of technology operates at a frequency of 13.56 MHz and reaches peak speeds of 424 kbit/s in data transmission.
