This week, I had the privilege of visiting the Escuela de Capacitación Nauticopesquera de Cataluña (ECNPC) in L’Ametlla de Mar, a centre that has established itself as a reference in the training and professional qualification of the nautical fishing and diving sector in Catalonia.
A Reference Centre
The ECNPC offers a wide range of training programmes ranging from basic training to advanced professional qualifications in sectors such as fishing, navigation and diving. Its modern and well-equipped infrastructure allows students to learn and practice in an environment that simulates the real conditions of work at sea.

What impressed me most about my visit is how the ECNPC integrates the latest technical and technological advances into its educational programmes. This not only better prepares students for the challenges of today’s labour market, but also equips them with the skills necessary to be leaders in their industry.

This visit to the ECNPC has been an enriching experience that has allowed me to see first-hand how this institution is training the next generation of professionals in the nautical, fishing and diving sector.
