Electric Cables in Ecological Boxes: Sustainability and Efficiency

At Top Cable, sustainability is not just a word, but an integral practice that encompasses the entire production chain. From the use of PEFCâ„¢ certified wooden reels to self-consumption of energy with photovoltaic panels, their commitment to the environment is unwavering. Today we would like to highlight one of its most significant innovations: the use of eco-friendly boxes for the packaging of some of our cables.

What are Top Cable’s Ecological Boxes?

Top Cable’s ecological boxes are made of 100% recyclable and biodegradable cardboard. These boxes not only facilitate storage and access to cables, but also represent a packaging alternative with a significantly lower environmental impact compared to other materials such as plastic or aluminum.

Environmental Advantages

100% recyclable and biodegradable: The corrugated cardboard in our boxes can be recycled up to seven times and completely degrades within one year.

Reduced emissions: Corrugated cardboard manufacturing emits 60% less CO2 and petroleum compared to other packaging materials.

Resource savings: Recycling one ton of paper saves 2 cubic meters of landfill, 140 liters of oil and 50,000 liters of water, and avoids the emission of up to 900 kg of carbon dioxide.

Benefits for Distributors

Efficient organization: Thanks to their size and shape, the eco-friendly boxes are easy to stack, which optimizes storage space.

Quick identification: The boxes come color-coded (red, blue, brown and gray) making it easy to immediately identify the cable section.

Customization: At Top cable they offer the possibility to customize the colors of the boxes upon request, adjusting to the specific needs of each distributor.

Halogen Free Cables

Their halogen-free cables, ideal for public and private buildings, are supplied in these eco-friendly boxes. These cables are extra-slip, fire-retardant and emit low levels of smoke and corrosive gases in case of fire, complying with the strictest national and international regulations.
