We often talk about energy transition, sustainability, self-consumption, and electric mobility\u2026 but we rarely stop to think about who will make all this change possible in the coming years. The answer is clear: the young people who are in our classrooms today and who will be the professionals who transform our energy model tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why I want to highlight and support initiatives like the Fen\u00ede Energ\u00eda Foundation and its \u201cJunior Energy Agents\u201d program, an educational project that connects the realities of the energy sector with secondary school students in a relatable, practical, and inspiring way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bringing Energy Closer to Young People
\u201cJunior Energy Agents\u201d was created with a crucial objective: to spark interest in energy and show students that behind the energy transition lie modern, technological professions with a significant social impact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Through dynamic workshops in schools and creative challenges, the program allows young people to discover:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The role of renewable energy in our future
How energy efficiency influences our lives
What an electrical installer actually does today
What job opportunities the sector offers
And why Vocational Training is a path to a future full of opportunities
A reality that, unfortunately, many young people and families are still unaware of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vocational Training and Trades: Drivers of Change
For years I have argued that we need to value technical professions and specialized trades. The electrical and energy installations sector needs young, skilled, and motivated talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today we talk about self-consumption, electric vehicle charging points, automation, home automation, energy efficiency, and energy communities\u2026 and behind all of this are qualified professionals who make this transformation possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Programs like \u201cJunior Energy Agents\u201d help precisely with that:
connecting the educational world with the professional world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And they do so with a particularly important focus: reaching out to rural areas, where these professionals are essential for ensuring sustainable development and retaining talent in the region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Learning by doing
One of the most interesting aspects of the project is that it’s not limited to just an informative talk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students also participate in a creative challenge where they must propose real solutions to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Improve the energy efficiency of their homes
Or transform their school into a more sustainable space
An excellent way to foster creativity, critical thinking, and energy awareness from an early age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We need more initiatives like this
The energy transition won’t be possible without skilled people. And to achieve this, we need guidance, outreach, and role models who introduce these professions to young people in a positive and relevant way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That’s why I consider it so important to support and promote projects like this, which help build bridges between education, sustainability, and future careers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Because talking about energy is also talking about opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

And because investing in Vocational Training and technical trades is investing in the future of our society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

My congratulations to the Fen\u00ede Energ\u00eda Foundation for promoting initiatives that inspire, guide, and generate real value for new generations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
