From October 6th to 10th<\/strong>, the neighborhoods of Torreforta, Campclar, and Bonavista<\/strong> hosted the first Employment Week in the Ponent Districts<\/strong>, an initiative promoted by Tarragona Impulsa<\/strong> aimed at bringing employment, training, and career guidance resources closer to citizens<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I had the honor of participating on the opening day<\/strong> as a speaker<\/strong> and moderator<\/strong> of a round table that officially launched the week\u2019s activities\u2014an inspiring experience that brought together professionals, training institutions, and residents with a shared goal: improving employability and creating new opportunities<\/strong> from within the community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A powerful and inspiring start<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The opening ceremony took place at the Centre C\u00edvic de Torreforta<\/strong>, where a motivated community gathered to discuss the future of work.
During her speech, Councilor Montse Ad\u00e1n<\/strong> emphasized that \u201cthis week in the neighborhoods we want to motivate and empower people who are looking for a job or a career change, create meeting spaces between companies, training centers, and job seekers, and give visibility to the talent and success stories that have emerged from these same neighborhoods.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the round table<\/strong> I moderated, we shared insights and real stories about the challenges of employment and vocational training<\/strong>, highlighting practical and human approaches. It was an open dialogue space where inspiring success stories<\/strong> from local residents resonated with all attendees.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\n\n\n\n

A week full of learning, opportunities, and connection<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the five days, the Employment Week<\/strong> offered an engaging program: practical workshops, inspiring talks, job orientation sessions, training capsules, and the Opportunity Fair<\/strong>, connecting companies, training entities, and job seekers face-to-face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Ponent districts became a true ecosystem of opportunities<\/strong>, where conversations about the future of work, local talent, and hope were the common thread.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The week concluded with the 13th Annual Tarragona Impulsa Conference<\/strong>, held at the Palau de Congressos<\/strong>, consolidating an edition that leaves a meaningful mark and paves the way toward a more inclusive and connected Tarragona.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Being part of this first edition was an enriching experience.
I witnessed firsthand how institutions, training centers, and citizens working together<\/strong> can truly open doors and transform lives.
The Employment Week in the Ponent Districts<\/strong> not only brought resources closer but also fostered confidence, motivation, and community spirit<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As someone deeply committed to training and employability, I firmly believe that talent has no postal code<\/strong> \u2014 it only needs opportunities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
