Almost obvious.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But one day, someone didn\u2019t put back a screwdriver. Maybe in a hurry. Maybe by accident. No one asked.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The next person didn\u2019t return theirs either. There was already one out of place\u2026 who would notice one more?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over time, the tool wall showed more empty spots. Finding what was needed took longer. Disarray became normal. And good habits slowly faded.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There\u2019s a name for this: the <em>broken window effect<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f It happens in workshops.<br>\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f It happens in VET programmes.<br>\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f It happens in companies.<br>\ud83d\udee0\ufe0f It happens in workplace culture.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">VET isn\u2019t just about learning a trade. It\u2019s about learning commitment, order, respect, and teamwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udf93 <em>A tip for training centres, teachers and mentors:<\/em> even if it\u2019s not yours, return the screwdriver. Set the example.
