My visit to BAXI’s facilities in Santiago de Compostela was far more than just a technical tour. It confirmed something I reiterate at every conference: continuous training is the pillar supporting the evolution of the HVAC industry.

BAXI has launched a new specialized training center for aerothermal technology, located on Rúa de San Lázaro in Santiago de Compostela. It is a space designed for installers, technicians, and professionals to experiment, learn, and stay up-to-date with the technologies defining the present and future of thermal comfort—including aerothermal systems, renewable solutions, state-of-the-art boilers, and smart home tools.

During the visit, I saw that this center is not merely a physical location but a statement of intent: to bring technical knowledge closer to Galician professionals, facilitate hands-on practice, and support them in a market that demands new skills and a more integrated approach to HVAC.

For someone like me—who has spent years advocating for the value of vocational training and the importance of preparing technicians for a rapidly transforming sector—initiatives like this are invaluable. They reinforce the message I share in my talks: Technology advances, but it only truly moves forward when professionals advance alongside it.

I am grateful to Alberto Alonso and BAXI for the opportunity to experience this space firsthand. I will feature it in my presentations as an example of how the industry can—and must—commit to technical talent, continuous professional development, and more efficient, sustainable HVAC solutions.

Vocational training takes center stage. With this clear and direct message, I had the honor of giving a presentation at Hernani Lanbide Heziketa in Gipuzkoa, aimed at Intermediate and Higher-Level students specializing in maintenance, electrical installations, and electromechanics.

It was a day where the spotlight was entirely on them—the young students who are the true driving force behind the technical and energy transformation already underway.

Together with FINDER—a leading “Made in Europe” company specializing in automation, industrial relays, and smart solutions—we shared an up-to-date vision of the sector with the students:

how the technical profession is evolving,
which technologies are shaping the future,
and why their role will be decisive for efficiency, digitalization, and sustainability.
The welcome we received at the center was extraordinary. I want to express my special thanks to the director, the academic coordinator, and the entire teaching staff; their dedication, approachability, and warmth made the event a memorable experience. Their commitment to vocational training is evident: they place young people at the heart of everything, driving initiatives that connect education, the business world, and future careers.

My message to them was clear: the sector needs your talent. The energy transition, automation, electrification, and smart industry require well-prepared professionals with vision and adaptability. And you—coming from vocational training—possess all the tools needed to lead this change.

Hernani Lanbide Heziketa demonstrates that when educational centers, companies, and professionals collaborate, the result is a robust, modern training ecosystem aligned with the real needs of the market.

Vocational training takes center stage.

And these young people, without a doubt, hold the future in their hands.

We addressed key topics such as generational renewal, the continuous updating of skills, and the need to strengthen ties between companies, professionals, and educational institutions. This exchange confirmed that Aragon is moving steadily toward a more competitive and well-prepared model, aligned with new technical and regulatory demands.

I would like to highlight the warm welcome I received from AEIEZ and the value of the dialogue we shared. Furthermore, I had the honor of presenting my book, Construyendo Caminos Duales (“Building Dual Pathways”), published with the collaboration of FERMAX—a company firmly committed to vocational training and the ongoing professional development of those in the sector.

It was an inspiring meeting that reinforces the importance of continuing to build bridges between organizations, companies, and technical talent.

Talking to students is always one of the best parts of my job. Each encounter is an opportunity to share experiences, spark curiosity, and bridge the gap between vocational training and the sector’s technological reality.

At times, I also have the privilege of discussing the latest developments at Fermax with them. The company is currently going through an especially exciting phase: a new era of R&D and the development of IRIS by Fermax—a product where every detail counts. It is a concept that not only redefines connectivity between people and spaces but also marks a new way of understanding how we interact with our surroundings.

What is most inspiring is seeing how vocational students—digital natives who are adaptable and quick to adopt new technologies—embrace these ideas with remarkable ease. They are generations ready to integrate this innovation into their professional careers, to lead change, and to transform the sector from within.

Sharing this vision with them is a true pleasure. Because when young talent and advanced technology meet, the future accelerates.

We are entering autumn; temperatures are dropping, and it is time to get the home ready for the cold months ahead. This year, I decided to take a significant step: replacing my domestic hot water and heating boiler with the BAXI Neodens iPlus 28/28F—a cutting-edge model that stands out for its high performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.

For me, home climate control is no trivial matter. It represents comfort, safety, and well-being for my family. That is not something I would entrust to just anyone. That is why I choose BAXI—”The New Climate Control.”

But this decision goes beyond technical specifications. Those who know me are aware that I have spent years working with vocational training centers, supporting teachers, students, and industry professionals. One of the things I value most is finding companies that believe in technical talent, invest in continuous training, and support installers throughout their entire professional careers.

BAXI is one of those companies.

Their commitment to professionals, to the new generations emerging from vocational training, and to the constant updating of technical knowledge is exemplary. That is why, when I install a boiler in my own home, I look for consistency: quality technology, certainly, but also values that align with my own understanding of the sector.

The Neodens iPlus 28/28F embodies that evolution: efficiency, integration, sustainability, and a forward-looking perspective on climate control. It represents a future where technology, innovation, and training go hand in hand. In the coming days, I’ll share images of the process and a few more details, because I believe showing these real-life experiences helps highlight the work of professionals and the value of choosing brands that support them.

Transformative Vocational Training: Real Guidance for Careers That Matter
For years, I have been visiting vocational training centers, speaking with educators, companies, installers, distributors, and young people looking for their path. If there is one recurring theme in every conversation, it is this: the guidance we offer students must be real, effective, and connected to the labor market.

Abstract, generic guidance—or advice disconnected from the world outside the classroom—simply won’t do. Young people need to know which careers have a future, which sectors are growing, which companies are seeking talent, and which skills are truly valued.

And within this landscape of the future, one sector stands out above the rest: the electrical and communications sector.

It is a strategic, essential sector undergoing a major transformation, with a constantly growing demand for professionals.

Fenie Energía: A Message Aligned with What I Champion in Every Center
In this journey, Fenie Energía’s contribution to training centers exemplifies how vocational guidance should be built: grounded in reality, driven by industry, and responsive to the actual need for professionals.

Their message—clear, direct, and data-driven—perfectly aligns with my commitment to vocational training that connects young people with real opportunities:

Technical careers with a future.
Companies in need of young talent.
Centers aligned with the industry.
Up-to-date training linked to the energy transition.
Installers and distributors seeking qualified professionals.
When Fenie Energía visits a center, they convey exactly what I advocate for in my talks: that energy, installations, and communications are careers for both the present and the future. A strategic sector in need of skilled young people
The energy transition, self-consumption, electric mobility, the digitalization of systems, and energy efficiency are not abstract concepts; they are realities already transforming homes, businesses, and cities.

And behind every advancement are technicians trained through Vocational Training (FP). Technicians who install, maintain, diagnose, connect, and program systems—ensuring everything runs smoothly.

That is why my stance is clear: effective career guidance + quality Vocational Training + the energy sector = career opportunities for thousands of young people.

Vocational Training is not a “Plan B.” It is a pathway to essential professions.

When a young person discovers they can build a future in a strategic sector—one offering stable employment, growth, and a sense of purpose—something shifts. And that shift begins with honest, up-to-date guidance that connects them with companies like Fenie Energía—companies that view Vocational Training as an essential part of the country’s future.

Carlos’s appointment is part of MAXGE Europe’s initiative to turn European electrical market trends into concrete opportunities for the multinational, thereby strengthening its presence and responsiveness within an increasingly demanding and globalized sector.

A Vision Aligned with Vocational Training and Emerging Talent
Drawing on my collaboration with La Marxa and my commitment to promoting Vocational Training (FP), this appointment highlights a point I emphasize in every talk: Vocational Training offers a direct pathway to careers involving high levels of responsibility, international impact, and genuine growth.

Carlos is a prime example of how combining technical training, experience, and a global perspective opens doors to strategic roles within multinational companies. A message our vocational training students need to hear: the European electricity sector needs profiles like theirs, and opportunities await those who commit to training and professional growth.

MAXGE Europe: talent, strategy, and the future
With this new addition, MAXGE Europe continues to strengthen a technical-commercial team equipped to tackle the challenges of internationalization, regulatory compliance, and technological evolution within the European electricity market.

The company continues to demonstrate that its growth is built on a clear foundation: attracting talent, fostering technical specialization, and investing in professionals capable of bridging the gap between engineering and business strategy.

A technical and motivational talk at a center where applied training is the heartbeat
During the visit, I had the opportunity to give a technical and motivational talk to students from various professional fields. It was an enriching experience at a center where training is truly lived out: through workshops, classrooms, projects, and internships that prepare future professionals to confidently make the leap into the workforce.

Xabec stands out for its practical approach and its ability to tailor training to the sector’s real-world needs. Here, learning goes beyond the classroom; it transforms into the skills that companies value and require.

Leadership by Ignacio Ferrer: vision, commitment, and deep roots in the Valencian Community
The center operates under the excellent leadership of Ignacio Ferrer, whose vision has firmly established Xabec as a deeply rooted institution within the Valencian Community. His commitment to vocational training that is closely linked to the business sector is reflected in every program, project, and initiative developed at the center.

The combination of a dedicated teaching staff, a business-oriented methodology, and clear strategic leadership makes Xabec a prime example of how vocational training can transform the professional futures of hundreds of young people every year.

The Finder 26′ Tour: technology, industry, and “Made in Europe” talent
This visit is part of the Finder 26′ Tour, a journey I am undertaking this year with the support of Finder—a “Made in Europe” company committed to industry, technology, and fostering talent through high-quality vocational training. Finder understands that the sector’s future relies on well-prepared professionals—individuals capable of working with advanced technological solutions and aligned with the challenges of the energy transition and digitalization. That is why this tour is more than just a journey; it is a commitment to training that transforms and connects.

Xabec and Finder: two paths converging on quality training
The experience at Xabec aligns perfectly with the philosophy of the “Ruta Finder 26” tour:

Practical training with strong industry ties.
Instructors who constantly update their skills and technological knowledge.
Motivated students focused on the job market.
An institution with deep roots and a forward-looking vision.
A European company driving talent and industry growth.
Looking ahead
The stop at Xabec reinforces a key idea: Vocational Training is the engine that drives industrial progress and enables professionals to find their place in a rapidly evolving job market.

I will continue traveling across Spain to highlight the centers, projects, and teams that—like Xabec—work every day to bridge the gap between training, talent, and industry.

The event brought together public authorities, organizations, and companies that share a common vision:

Training must be aligned with real employment opportunities and the needs of the productive sector.

During the event, a point I have long advocated for was highlighted: Vocational Training (FP) and workforce training are strategic tools for anticipating labor market shifts—particularly in sectors where technology, AI, and the energy transition are transforming professional roles.

The new classrooms—covering electricity, welding, refrigeration systems, and administrative training—will add over 60 annual training spots and strengthen a training model that is more practical, specialized, and closely linked to the business world. This is precisely what industrial trades need to continue growing and attract new talent, especially among young people and women seeking genuine opportunities for the future.

I take away three key ideas from the event:

Connecting people and companies: training to meet real talent needs.

Anticipating technological transformation: updating skills to avoid falling behind.

Promoting industrial career paths: opening doors for those wishing to redirect their professional lives.

The inauguration also served as a look toward the future: on October 6th, iFormació—the new Vocational Training Center for Industrial Trades in Catalonia—will be unveiled. This initiative pools the efforts of trade associations to train the professionals the industry requires.

It is another step forward in strengthening vocational training, elevating the status of skilled trades, and creating real opportunities for both individuals and local businesses.
